OUR NEW LIFE DELIVERANCE FOOD BANK

Our mission is to help the hungry and build Christ-centered relationships in a warm and inviting environment.

A little bit about the NLDT Food Bank

Many families must choose between rent and food. The NLDT Food Bank alleviates one choice through our emergency food assistance, providing groceries through a personal touch, and communicating a positive message to each family. Volunteers are needed to help sort and distribute food.

Our Food Bank began operations in September 2017. Lead Members are: Dr. Saundra Smith, Deacon Mike Smith serving as Food Bank & Health and Wellness Ministry Administrators. Deacon Jennell Odom serves as the Assistant Food Bank Administrator. Missionary Krystal Singleton serves as the Clothing Distribution Adm., and Deacon Sharon White and Sister Regina Adkins serve as the Food Bank Receptionists.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a resource for healthy food to the underserved young men, women, and children of our Gullah Island community.

We are guided by the principles from the Word of God which commands us to care for those in need. Matthew 25:35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.

Our Values

  •  Charity- begins with us as we serve and support our congregation, our community, and each other.
  • Honor- we will honor all those who enter our doors who become entrusted to our care and the care of Dr. Daniel Russell Jr., Pastor of NLDT.
  • Service- we will commit ourselves willing to the service of others as we serve the Lord with gladness, providing quality support for the mission of NLDT Food Bank.
  • Wisdom-will be our guide as we walk by faith in service to others, and we will be good stewards over what God has given us because we are accountable to God.
